10 Weeks along... So I Think

Day 1

Hello all, welcome to my pregnancy journal. I decided to start this to help pass the time of waiting for my first addition to progress & arrive. It seemed for a while that life was flying by so fast, and now it seems that life has slowed down quite a bit. It was just 3 weeks ago that I found out that I was expecting but it feels like 2 months! With nothing much to do but sit back and wait the time seems to just creep by. I think the first few months must be the worst. You don't feel well, you cant eat right, and to top that off you know that you are pregnant but you don't look pregnant and all of the fun stuff seems so far away!!! ( like finding out the sex, and registering, and showing, and baby showers) For now its just wait wait wait.... For now I am just experiencing some of the fun symptoms of pregnancy. Including:

-Extreme Nausea (very very extreme)
-The metallic taste in my mouth
-Dizziness
-Fatigue
-Food rarely sounds good and most thing I used to like make me sick now.
-My boobs are sore
-I just plain don't feel NORMAL

I of course ran out and bought the book that I think almost everyone goes to get when they find out they are pregnant, "What To Expect when You are Expecting" The fourth Edition.... This book tells you pretty much everything you need to know. I of course read it cover to cover the first night I bought the book. Once thats done its kind of like "ok, now what?" .... Time to wait :) I'm just looking forward to starting to show and really starting to FEEL pregnant. I hope the time starts moving a little faster!! I'm So excited if you cant tell already. This wasn't a "planned" pregnancy, but exciting none the less. The only thing is that so far I have not yet been to the Obstetrician. Its an interesting story, when I found out that I was pregnant I had been very ill for about two weeks before I had had enough and was so sick that I finally went to the emergency room. They hooked me up to an IV and did blood tests and I found out that I was pregnant and nothing more, I just happened to be one of the lucky few that experience EXTREME symptoms of "morning sickness", which yes starts in the morning but lasts pretty much all day long at least it did for me. In any case the news was surprising and exciting however not being able to afford the crazy expensive health insurance we have these days I have been having to go through the process of applying for medicaid which has been a headache but I am at my last stretch and should be approved any day which means that I finally get to go to the real Dr. to make sure the baby and pregnany is going well, find out my true due date and hear a heartbeat and all the other good exciting stuff. Now the hard part is finding a good Dr. that accepts Medicaid, I have looked a lot online but am having a lot of trouble. I will tell you one thing, its very stressful when its your first time being pregnant and you are clueless on where to go & what to do, but I am sure it will all fall into place:) Goodbye until Tomorrow!... Thank you for reading:)
